All year I have been writing my morning messages about sports. We had a unit on rewriting fairytales. So I wrote my fairytale about the three little teachers and the Big Bad Bruins.
It started to catch like fire around the school. Other teachers began to write messages. Some of my colleagues who have a knack for art started drawing Stanley Cups. This is Mr. Eaddies!
The same people who asked me who Chara was a few months ago began reading my messages. Suddenly, at the water cooler, i could talk hockey. I embrace it. The more the merrier.
After listening to the dramatic montage on sports radio, I thought I would put my own together.
The Friday I was at a training my class had a hard day, just like the Bruins.
For morning work my students created their own communication tips to help the Bruins work better as a team. Or they wrote advice for the "cuckoo-Canucks" on how to be good community members.
Sadly, after my restless night full of hockey, I didn't wake up on time to write the message today. My co-teacher (also dressed in black and gold) gave it her best shot.
Hopefully, tomorrow’s message will be the best one yet…
